Minister expects duty-free eggs from Turkey in Russia in 2–3 weeks
MOSCOW, Dec 18 (PRIME) -- Duty-free eggs from Turkey will start to arrive to Russia in two to three weeks, which will adjust the price for the product, Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev said on December 17.
"Eggs from Azerbaijan must arrive soon, this week. I think in two–three weeks, eggs from Turkey will come without the import duty, which will help adjust the prices," Patrushev said.
The process of import duty annulment has almost been completed, he said.
The official separately said that grain harvest with the new territories was registered at more than 153 million tonnes in bulk weight.
The ministry could adjust the forecast for the harvest upwards. The export figure in the 2023–2024 agricultural year is yet to be adjusted but may stand at least at 65 million tonnes.
